Mind Spark #33 - Born to Be Comets: Growing the Collisions

Today, I came across a line in the cover of a notebook from the Chapel Hill Public Library that stuck with me:
“We were born to be comets, Darting across space and time leaving our mark As we crash into everything" --Donovan Livingston
A comet doesn’t move quietly. It streaks across the sky, shining and burning. Even though its path is quick and unpredictable, it leaves a trail that stays long after it’s gone.
Maybe our lives are supposed to feel like that, too. Life isn’t always gentle or predictable, but it can be bright, active, and full of meaning.
We run into unexpected challenges, new ideas, and surprises. Each time, we leave something behind - a lesson, a connection, or a moment that inspires and changes us. We became stronger and better every time.
Maybe that’s the point. We don’t need to avoid the rough spots. Instead, we should keep moving forward boldly and keep shining.
What we leave behind is important.
